Melissa Webb

Melissa Webb has over 25 years of clinical practice in Trauma Physiotherapy at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne.  She is currently employed as a Trauma Allied Health Team Leader (AHTL) where she oversees and co-ordinates the specialised trauma allied health workforce, providing a contemporary model of care for recovery of acute trauma patients.  She is also currently an NTRI Research Fellow and is undertaking a PhD through Monash University investigating the utility and performance of the tertiary survey in modern trauma care.

Her special interests include the trauma tertiary survey, chest trauma management, trauma models of care, the role of physiotherapy and allied health within the acute trauma interdisciplinary team and top of scope roles for physiotherapy to support service delivery in trauma.

Melissa has extensive clinical credibility alongside a collaborative and quality outcome driven mindset which has led to research, collaborations and innovative integration of allied health knowledge and skills to enhance the delivery of care for trauma patients.
