Dr Alexander Olaussen

Dr Alexander Olaussen (BEH, BMedSc(Hons), MBBS(Hons), MACPara, FHEA), is a paramedic, doctor and senior lecturer at Monash University in the Department of Paramedicine.

Alex has years of clinical and research experience, with an interest in the bridge between the pre-hospital and in-hospital environment in critical care. He is currently doing his PhD in pre-hospital resuscitation of major trauma patients. The majority of Alex’s experience is in working as a rural emergency doctor and conducting research related to paramedicine and shock. Alex divides his time between clinical care, research and mentoring.
