Sarah Jenkins

After completing her Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Glasgow, Sarah worked in the Emergency Department at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, the major trauma centre for the West of Scotland. During this time, she developed a strong interest in trauma research and joined the Scottish Trauma Network as a Local Audit Coordinator alongside her clinical role, contributing to the network’s registry and supporting quality improvement initiatives within the ED.

Following the Covid-19 pandemic, Sarah made the decision to step away from nursing and the Trauma Network to travel across South East Asia and Australia. Following her travels Sarah chose to immigrate to Australia. Although she decided to move away from direct clinical work, she was pleased to join the Alfred as a Trauma Registry Clerk, allowing her to leverage her experience and expertise to support the improvement of trauma patient outcomes.

Sarah is enthusiastic about contributing to the Alfred Trauma Service and looks forward to establishing a long-term career in Australia.
