Longgang Central Hospital (LCH) of Shenzhen is being expanded to a 2,000 bed hospital. The Longgang Municipal Government, Department of Health intends to establish LCH as a Premier Teaching Hospital in order to provide better health services for the residents. Included in the planned LCH redevelopment is the building of a new Emergency & Trauma Centre and a consolidated Intensive Care Unit.


Key Objectives & Outcomes

The aim of this project is to assist LCH medical and nursing staff with skills training in Emergency and Trauma, Neurosurgical, Spinal, Critical Care and Cardiology. Linked to these activities will be a medical and nursing exchange program and the delivery of education, research, audit and governance programs at LCH. The long-term societal aim of this project is to reduce preventable deaths and permanent disability as a result of injuries.
